What would we see?
A new product would launch......like Combat Crunch Protein Bar. That product has gone from launch to #19 on the Top 50 seller list. That would seem a successful launch by any metric.
If that new product DID NOT cannibalize existing MSLP product line we would see the former and current MSLP products either moving up the sales list or at least holding the product's current position.
Whoops....that is NOT what we are seeing.
If that new product IS cannibalizing the existing MSLP product line we would see existing and current MSLP products declining on the sales list or falling off completely. We could see competitors products moving up the list.
Hmmm.....that IS what we are seeing. Arnold line which was touted by MSLP management as the most successful product line launch in the companies history has gone from a staple on to having completely disappeared from the Top 50 list in just several months. If you were just shopping off the Top 50 list, you wouldn't know the Arnold Line even exists. I hope that foreign market stays strong.
MSLP's only Top 10 product, Combat Powder has dropped to #9 and falling. Meanwhile Optimum Nutrition and Cellucor product lines are moving up the sales list. Op Nut has 13 of the Top 50 products on the list including 3 in the Top 10.
