Brigrajac, Thanks. It doesn't make sense that pharmas aren't more eager to tackle this unmet need in medicine. Ampakines are the perfect vehicle, acting as they do on the pre-Botz area of the brain where the respiratory depression occurs.

I wonder if these pharmas know about Dr. Greer's discovery that the pre-Botz is full of AMPA receptors and Ampakines are so effective at RD reversal? With all their blockbuster drugs going off patent, pharmas need to take a few chances instead of playing it safe with more me-too SSRI type drugs. Hopefully the resurgence in CNS funding that Neuro spoke of will help Cortex get a deal.
