Below is a comment in regards to a river in Washington.
Is it true I don't know?
I do know they have no common sense when it comes to fish .......

I've lived on the Union River for 52 years. You use to be able to walk across the river on salmon in September. In the past couple of weeks I've seen one 6 pound chinook. Which is funny because they are taking chinooks out of our rivers because they say they aren't native.lol They've been destroying this river for decades.

I count every year and most of the time I'm lucky to see a dozen salmon go up the river during the fall runs.

About 40 years ago they thought it would be a good idea to remove all the log jams in the river so they did. That was the start of the end. After that there weren't any deep pools for the cold water fish to stay in during the hot days. Water gets too hot, because its too shallow. Bacteria grows and fish get sick. About 5 years later the idiots in management in the Dept. of Fisheries stopped by, because I'm about the only one on the river that allows them to come through my property. Talked to the dept head and asked him when he was going to let the fish populations build up like they used to be. He said never. It was unhealthy for the river.lol Idiots.

How can someone go through college and get a biology degree and not understand the importance of the start of the food chain?

They also though it would be a good idea 3 years ago to spray Roundup on the bamboo that grows along the river bank. So they introduced some more nasty toxins into the river plus they again killed more shade to keep the river cool. Plus all the bugs that bamboo brings in.

Obviously some college grads cheat a lot on their finals. I wonder if some of these people even have a valid degree.
