It is a valid argument to make, saying that Bruce is just boosting his own bank account. So, why do you think he even bought that decorticator equipment and moved it to a new location under HEMP's banner?

Would it not be more cost-effective to just pocket the money and say he was just spending the proceeds on "research"? Lots of OTCs are doing that all the time. But, he spent company money on tangible equipment.

Seems like a waste if you're running a scam.
