HemCon Medical Technologies, Inc. Projects Strong Third Quarter Revenues
WESTPORT, Conn., Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HemCon Medical Technologies, Inc. ("HemCon"), a wholly owned subsidiary of TriStar Wellness Solutions(R), Inc. (OTCQB: TWSI) and a leading developer and marketer of advanced medical products, announced today that the revenue performance on their chitosan technology platform has grown by 39 percent, and microdispersed oxidized cellulose raw material is up 22 percent year-to-date though August 2014. Overall, TWSI expects third quarter revenues to surpass the prior year in excess of 50 percent and be in line with overall business expectations for 2014.
Military sales have grown 30 percent year-on-year. Though this business remains very unpredictable, we have seen a positive upward trend. HemCon's ChitoGauze® PRO was recently added to the CoTCCC (Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care) guidelines for recommended hemostats of choices on the battlefield, providing continued support to U.S. Troops and those of Allied Forces across the globe.
