FDA letter received by many companies and cities today

It has come to our attention that you are marketing "water" and claiming that it may help resolve dehydration. Since it is reasonable to consider dehydration a disease condition we have determined that "water" must be classified as a drug.

Therefore we request that you remove "water" from the market until properly conducted studies have been conducted showing that it is safe and efficacious.

Your previous note stating that "water" has historically been consumed by many people as part of their normal diet no longer suffices to keep us from trying to control every last detail of you life.
