Hi Sami, a station keeping airship could help provide much needed coverage in those areas where Gsat is lacking, and is certainly cheaper than the $B satellite options, imo. Their network could use help over the poles and over the larger oceans . This would help them for international maritime shippers along with their ADSB plane tracking solution mentioned in that pdf file.

Believe that Inmarsat and Iridium already have solutions and provide a product internationally. Globalstars partner ADSB Technologies just tested its solution, and a Spot tracker, at the end of August and beginning of Sept, they tweeted some info on the results. Both Gsat and Adsb Tech expect approval in 2015, with Adsb Tech saying ready to roll out in q1 2015.

That pdf is saying that Gsat has intentions for 9 new ground stations. Not sure if they have other inactive ones they aren't counting or if they do have inactive gateways, are they in the areas mentioned in this pdf. Also know Gsat has 2 ground stations in storage as per their filings, so that would open the door here to make an arrangement with them if Wsgi really has the possible ground station deal mentioned here in the past.

We will see, still hope but the clock is ticking ,imo. gl Sami
