You may very well be right, but one would ask, if this is in fact a sinking ship, why would someone with her credentials come on board? I haven't done a lot of D/D on her but at first glance she's got some pretty good and quite possibly applicable experience. But I definitely agree that a "great to be here" message from her is paramount and almost overdue.
