Sony is trying to entice high end 4K tv buyers to buy their TV's. Making their top quality content available to their TV's is logical. "Buy our TV and you get access to see this great stuff"

Samsung is doing the same thing with their exclusive deals. They are using the content as bait.

Eventually all of the content will come off restriction and be available to everyone.
