Auto split at $25, No. I say this from seeing past prices well below that figure before a RS. Yes, there is certainly decay, just look at the 5 year chart, the decline is certainly not a direct inverse to the S&P. Doc C knows the formulary that the ETF managers use and since the options used have been almost always in contango , VXX has been a perpetual loser on an exponential scale. But, my contention is to play the chart here. When Vxx is way oversold , grab some calls a little further out, and it sometimes pays nicely. No one knows what event or situation will arise to cause VXX to pop, but we do know those events are cyclical, just see the chart. The one event that is the A #1 driver of volatily, or should I say implied volatility in this case is UKRAINE, period. One can easily prove that by watching the movement of vxx based on the ebbs and flows of the events related to ukraine over the past 6 months.

I believe Putin just gave poreshenko a " take it or leave it truce deal"., and Putin knew it would not last. Now the words from Putin might as well be , " see you in Kiev", because he knows that NATO won't do jack chit to stop him, and he's got all the gas.
