SAGD production increases as the steam chamber grows. I thought that was the case, but wanted to look up a link before assressing the post implying 500 barrels a day. That 500bod is the initial production.

"During the rise period the oil production rate increases steadily
until the chamber reaches the top of the reservoir, this point on
steam chamber begins to grow laterally. The process leads to a
high recovery and high oil rate at economic oil-to-steam ratios"
