Salt Lake City, UT 84102

Business Details

Description
Calmare Pain Management was founded in 2014 by Christian Becker, MD, a fellowship trained pain specialist, who completed his residency training in Anesthesiology and ACGME fellowhip training in Chronic and Interventional Pain Management at the University of Utah.

Calmare Pain Management provides non-drug and non-invasive pain management for many very difficult to treat pain conditions which do not respond well to traditional medical approaches such as medications and invasive procedures. In fact, many patients who have failed these therapies or have had sub-optimal results have been successfully treated with Calmare pain treatments.

Neuropathic pain, including many related conditions is notoriously difficult to treat and often can only be treated while also experiencing significant medication side effects and even greater risks from interventions.

Our current locations are in the greater Salt Lake City, Utah area, but we hope to expand our locations throughout Utah and into surrounding states soon.

Our mission is to provide compassionate and effective pain management by offering completely non-narcotic (no drugs) and non-invasive (no needles) pain treatments utilizing Calmare pain treatments, which have been shown in studies and in clinical experience to have a response rate to treatment of up to 80% (see our studies and trials page at our website for details), which is much better than almost all medications and interventions available otherwise. With Calmare pain treatments, this can be achieved without significant side effects.

Our approach is to remove the risks and harms of medications and interventions such as respiratory depression, sedation, constipation, nausea/vomiting, dizziness, confusion, stomach upset, GI bleeding, kindey impairment and failure, heart problems, bleeding, infection, nerve damage, withdrawal, addiction, and even death. A

Calmare treatment is administered via skin electrodes that are placed around the area of the pain.
