MJ is not as much of a water hog as some people advertise it to be. Those stating the marijuana plants drink 5+ gallons of water a day are over their heads.. If you gave the poor plant that much water i know it would do it more bad than good (root rot in a container). Also lets not forget, expert grows know how to grow while minimizing the water consumption.

Lets take this into consideration. Those doing whats called a "gorilla grow" (which is a term for illegal grow operation in a state forest) has zero sympathy for what they are doing to the natural environment. Most of the dams they create to hydrate their grow is causes a big waste of water. These gorilla growers just care for one thing and one thing only. HYDRATE THE PLANTS AT ALL COST AND PROTECT THEM. $$ illegal money.. These guys don't waste time or extra money to preserve land for their grow... Now that we got this settled lets continue...

A legal grow operation takes the environment into consideration. They use only the amount of water required for the plant to grow correctly. Now lets take into consideration what material is used into a legal grow operation. Not wasting water is very important at first. There is material that stores water in the soil such as Polymer crystals. These suckers significantly increase their size when coming in contact with moisture. They turn into a jelly like glob that slowly releases the water into the soil as needed. Polymer crystals are used by farmers that worry for a dry spell and don't want to lose a crop do to it. Also a wonderful method to keep the soil moist is by covering the top of the grow site with MULCH!!! Best type of MULCH you may use would be oak as its not acidic.

As there are many way or tricks to retain water in soil i refuse to continue with examples as it does not benefit to continue. But this is just proof to the false statement of the plant using a ridiculous amount of water to survive. Unless you mean that the plant uses about 1 gallon every day or other day and the remainder 4-8 gallons evaporate. But then again i do not think this is the case for legal grow operations as they take this into consideration and take many money saving precautions that do minimum harm to the environment..

Last lets look at this.. California has trees and plants growing in the wild. Wild flowers and a variety of weeds as well. Guess what guys.. MARIJUANA can grow just left alone as well. Yes the yield will be impacted and so will the THC level but that just shows that the plant adapts to its environment. As a plant searches for water its roots run across farther and farther in search of that water. This also increases the height of the plant. (stretch). Also in the evening time..... have you ever noticed when it gets mossy/ foggy outside.. YES that stuff.. That is moisture.. The plant absorbs and stores that.. Keeps it living..

Lets not get over ourselves and read all the negative articles that state crazy water consumption reports for marijuana. Usually these articles are written by individuals against legalization/ decriminalization and are bias. Want to know facts call a grower and ask. As for QEDN!!! we are conservative and legal.. Can not prove otherwise.

Thank you... :) QEDN
