Oh, that philosophy is from Warren Buffet..but he probably knows nothing about investing so Im sure many know more. He cautions against overdiversification, and that sounds like exactly what you suggest. Buffet has maybe 20 or so stocks in his portfolio, so I guess if you have a 20k portfolio, you think you should have 20 also. NO.
This person had a 300k portfolio (we dont know..he may had more or less..this is just what he showed us).
Do as you please..Im not here to convince you..the college of hard knocks will do better at that than I ever could.
By the way, I have a PHD at H & K U.
