Business antics. Any company that is trying to get recognition in some area they believe themselves to specialize in will talk a lot =) It helps to get the word out, before something really happens. Most companies do so as a way of generating buzz about their upcoming product or service. That's all there is to that. I don't see any reason to explain that in any other way.
