On adjusted modeling for control, even the outliers had a capped OS:

The median survival time of individuals with infection was 16.8 months (95% CI: 15.2–20.7 months) and of those without infection was 17.8 months (95% CI: 13.2–23.5 months).



These include those with very high CD4 counts (pg 5)

So, even the best that could be achieved was 23.5 months OS. Imo, other prognostic factors play a bigger role in OS, as is also evidenced by Table 2 (extent of surgical resection, for example). Though CD4 counts seem a better prognostic indicator than those over or under 55 years.

Interesting. Just another important one to put on the list.

Still, this trial should have VERY few of them, imo. I'm thinking less than 10% now...

And I think this MAY improve tx effect. CD4s play a very active role in the therapy.
