PIP COURTNEY: If Novaq significantly improves profitability, Bob Harvey expects new investors, like the group behind plans for a mega prawn farm in WA, to move from planning to doing.

Open pond farms in general are doomed. And if SIAF can run at 200% of planned capacity then projects like Sea Dragon have already signed their own death warrant. Because SIAF will flood the markets with prawns. It just takes 1 or 2 more mega farms. But they will learn in about 10 years or so.

With or without Novaq. It doesn't really matter. We don't know about the cost of Novaq. It will have to compete with other alternatives.

I can hear Solomon laughing already. Because if prawn prices drop 30% to 50% then the lot of them will go out of business. Except this one company.
