I'm of the mindset that everything they do and say is done with a purpose. They focused our attention on the WBC area, and slipped in that as an exaggerated distractor, which yes is relevant, but a distractor no less. Then they supply the accompanying PR to let us know how well the companionate use arm did, so that we don't take overplay the WBC variable. So what were they doing? Using what they have to amend the trial to ensure its a success. AND they extended the last look, which statically doesn't change things, but they could be applying the lessons learned from IMUC. If first look, second look isn't an overwhelming home run, then they don't want to run the risk that their final OS numbers come in to early, and what best way to not do that? Move the final look later.
Yes, everything is done on purpose. The same way they mentioned their ability to do BSSR in the 12-13-13 PR. Their was really no reason to even do a rebuttal PR, but yet they did... They knew back then they planned to amend the trial, so smart to slip it in as an advantage and then mention it vocally at one of this year's event.
