I think you've had enough time. We now have evidence of two publicly traded companies pursuing similar business models. One of which has the founder of a collective on their board who has made statements about growing MJ and collecting royalties as well as offering for profit services to non profit dispensaries in California.
The simple fact is, it can be done. Ultimately any non profit in any sector can hire for profit service providers. It's a matter of non profit laws, not just MJ laws.
