The increased energy extracted from the wind makes sense. In the Solar Wind Energy system they're using turbines in an enclosure. The passing wind can't escape the turbines.

Plus, the blades are probably better designed than the typical three bladed ones you see all over the place.

If you think about all the air that is passing through the gaps between the blades the typical design is VERY VERY inefficient.

Plus, Solar Wind Energy is going to use their patented process that puts a second turbine in the exhaust tube to remove energy a second time from the same air. As I recall, they pick up an additional 25% by doing this.
