After the upgrade started I thought: "how bad could it be?".

But I completely understand why corporations are sticking to Windows 7. My son suggested that we buy a few Windows 7 to stockpile as they get harder to find.

I've been waiting for the new Intel chip to get a laptop but I'm probably going to need something for a trip later this year and I might just have to bite the bullet and go with Haswell. I've been thinking of trying the laptop for everything at home. If I can hook it up to three displays, gigabit ethernet and an external drive off one Thunderbolt connection, then that would be a viable solution for getting rid of the desktop. I was thinking of only putting 512 GB for the hard drive and would definitely need additional storage at home but not on the go.

I really don't think that I need to go with a Mac Pro. I wish that they had something in-between the Mac Mini and the Mac Pro.
