The defendants know that's what MMRF wants and needs
The only reason the last suit settled is a few weeks prior, Walgreens filed a challenge to the patent at USPTO. Those challenges have a 60% success rate. A loss there would be fatal.
Remember all year long we heard "it only takes one" meaning that once one of the defendants settled, the cash would come rolling in as others rushed to settle.
As you can see, little money came in and no further settlements occured. MMRF is more cash strapped than ever. these lawyers are not on contingency. Bills will need to be paid
Discovery is just beginning and there is no hurry to settle for the defendants. The earliest any of those cases could go to trial is next spring.
That's a long time and a lot of expense from now.
Maybe that's why MMRF can't afford to advertise their PHR. What good is a retail rollout if no one knows the product exists???
