I know vodka is a neutral spirit, but Marani is unique in its own way, and to my mind does provide some nuances to a drink, due to the finishing process. It wouldn't be my first choice for a bloody mary base (I like something infused for that, such as garlic or sun-dried tomato). However, the slight honey sweetness could be leveraged in some spcialty cocktails in a way that might not be as effective with some other brand.
I know it's really not a major difference, but we are talking marketing, and that is exactly how I would bill my product - I would play hard on the finishing process and sell accordingly. Folks will buy into it if done properly - I have seen folks purchase, for example, Smirnoff Whipped Cream vodka, and that's nasty not matter how it's used - but proper marketing techniques has it selling, and Marani is truly a good product IMO, so it could work.
