Well, after today's press release ...

I didn't think there would be a necessity to offer up my proof that AOL is only, as Mr. Shareef so aptly put it, an "aspirational competitor in the marketplace" !!!

Now, can anyone deny that BOB LORD, GLOBAL CEO, AOL PLATFORMS stated on 3-26-14 ...

ONE – a single, unified platform

"ONE will be the first platform that empowers brands with a holistic view of the consumer's journey through the marketing funnel, and makes that insight actionable, in real-time on the platform. Development on ONE is underway and customers will be able to start using portions of the platform later this year". ???????

NO !! [I have to answer my own questions, because it's quite apparent no one here is willing to speak up and agree with me even when it's the truth] ... just sayin'.

And can anyone deny that BOB LORD, GLOBAL CEO, AOL PLATFORMS DID NOT on 8-04-14 even once mention this AOL ONE platform that was in development on 3-26-14 and customers should be able to use portions of it later this year ???????

NO !! [that's just a rhetorical question, anyway]

So, why don't we take a look for ourselves and see what we can find.

First, let's look at AOL Platforms [plural] ...

About

AOL Platforms enables the world's top marketers and media brands to reach consumers across desktop, mobile, tablet and TVs with impact through premium experiences, programmatic buying and performance driven campaigns. It is the global partner of choice for leading publishers, advertisers and agencies seeking to maximize the value of their brands online. The entities in AOL Platforms include Advertising.com, Adap.tv, ADTECH, AOL On, AOP, Be On, Convertro, Gravity, MARKETPLACE, ONE by AOL, and Pictela.

Now, let's look at the "OFFERINGS" of AOL Platforms ...

http://www.aolplatforms.com/offerings

1. - We see "1 BY AOL", and if we want to "LEARN MORE" we merely click on it, and lo and behold, we're taken right to 1 by AOL's home website ...

http://www.aolplatforms.com/one

So, now, of course we're bound to see the real deal, right ????

NO !! ... if we click on "LEARN MORE" we're actually taken to where ...

http://www.aolplatforms.com/blog/one-aol-fully-integrated-enterprise-solution-brands-agencies-and-publishers

all this talk about "ONE" all began ... what's up with that ???

Now, if some here are still not convinced of the fact that AOL does not yet appear to have a real all-in-one platform or anything like what ADTM has developed, I guess we can even take it a step further by going back to the AOL Platforms home page ...

http://www.aolplatforms.com/offerings

First we notice 1 by AOL which we already know there was NOTHING to actually "LEARN MORE" about, right ???

YES !!

2. - We see "DISPLAY" witch is comprised of Advertising.com, AdLearn Open Platform, "MARKETPLACE, ADTECH and Pictela

Now, here I have to mention something in ADTECH ...

ADTECH provides global clients with advanced ad management and serving capabilities that span the entire workflow of the digital marketing landscape. ADTECH’s core solution seamlessly integrates display, video, mobile and rich media ads, with sales management and business analytics.

- Simplification of complex rich media & video ad executions

- Scalable, uninterrupted real-time delivery, monitoring & optimization multi-screen ad campaigns

- Sophisticated inventory management system, enabling more precise forecasting & comprehensive reporting

that actually resembles to some extent the capabilities of the Media Graph; however, it's very important to remember that the Media Graph is powered by Ember ...

"Ember’s background starts with its team. Our founding team has strong expertise ranging from semantic analysis and computer vision to writing trading applications on Wall Street. These expertise gave us the vision to create a platform that enhances an advertisers experience when it comes to online video. Noticing the shift from display to mobile to video, we realize advertisers need the same comfort and confidence that they have with the rich data and analysis that TV advertising provides. The Ember Platform solves that and is built with continual feedback from advertisers and publishers, tailored to their needs."

We want to help advertisers reach their target audiences and we want give publishers high quality advertisements that bring the most revenue.

Also, refer to Ember's "Technology" and "Solutions", and you'll see just how powerful their system is, and which contains every possible feature that publishers and advertisers alike would ever need ... that's my opinion based on everything I've read to date and everything I've seen as to what all the "fractional" players seem to provide.

3. - We see "VIDEO" which is comprised of The AOL On Network, BE ON, and Adap.tv

4. - We see "PERSONALIZATION" which is comprised of Gravity.

Now, I'm certainly not saying that AOL doesn't have any highly sophisticated, I'm sure, ad tech platforms, nor am I in any way saying that AOL will not continue to get a significant portion of the multibillion dollar online digital advertising business. What I am saying is that I see nothing at all that confirms AOL actually has an all-in-one ad serving and monetization platform, let alone one that would even compare to ADTM's "true" all-in-one platform.

So, can we ALL agree on this fact ?????

NOT LIKELY !! ... because that's just the way it is on this ADTM board.
