The company has had no money to initiate any clinical trial for MANF. I think they initially thought they'd have grants backing them but that never materialized due to no one really seeing any real life clinical benefit from MANF. Could also be inept management at the time. Remember, they just brought on some good people not too long ago. I think the pieces of the puzzle are just starting to fall into place. And I think AMBS management either thinks Lympro will be the initial cash cow to help the company get MANF into the clinics for specific indications (RP to be the first if what we are told is correct) or an adventurous BP will saddle up with AMBS to get MANF rolling after finally realizing the protein might just have serious therapeutic value. We will see by year's end if not sooner how this rolls out.
