I guess one needs to look further, the Oppenheimer Penny stock fraud case is quite well known:

In fact I highly recommend reading the FINRA action detailing this whole thing, it is like Mr Mazzo has ripped a page from the FINRA action and is duplicating it all over again.

Mr Mazzo worked for Oppenheimer until 2011 which is under that period of fraud. As to no blemishes, it is best to use other services that discuss his broker history. FINRA provides broker Check as free service to anyone that knows how to use it. I can clearly read his entire history and well "unblemished" isnt the word that comes to my mind when reading his Brokercheck background. He has had some minor run ins. But the fact that he was attached to the firm that went down for some serious Penny Stock fraud last year is all I need to see. That cannot be disputed.
