if this winter turns out to be colder than average, as predicted, utilities will likely be taking a look at supplemental renewable energy sources.


"SUPPLEMENTAL RENEWABLE" on short notice cannot happen! More importantly, the vast majority of the U.S. power plants have already augmented the existing systems using natural gas! Given the U.S. has access to vast stores of nat gas, wood pellets have little commercial appeal in the context of electrical power generation. From an economic perspective, it is "no contest!" Wind and solar, where mandated, maybe. "Burning solid matter," i.e. wood pellets, is likely somewhere near the bottom of the U.S. power generation alternatives list!
