Special Day - Diana's Birthday - the reason I created the Foundation

Today is a special day in our family, but also to the Foundation and everyone related to the foundation, and the reason the Foundation was created, my sister Diana, and today is her birthday, born August 1952, she would have been 62 today.

We all know my story and how I created the formula to resolve my cancer, and the med school trail, training in transplant surgery, etc.

NOW - what led up the initiation of the foundation. as many know, I was severely injured in the 1993 World Trade Center with so many fractures and bomb shrapnel in me, I was told that I would never walk again. It took 4 1/2 years before I could walk again.

the summer of 1997, I was able to stand with help, usually a cane. During my period of learning to stand and walk.

Diana just turned 45 on August 17, 1997, and was quite sick. She was told by many doctors that it was all in her mind, psychosomatic, many sent her to a psychiatrist. I also went through that, I went to 37 doctors before one seriously paid attention to find my cancer. Because she lived in Tampa, Florida, she was 4 hours from my parents and I was in New York.

Then, late summer of 1997, she was in severe pain, the doctors realized that she had pancreatic, stomach cancer, similar to what I had.

So, about Sept 12, 1997, I explained the formula and theory behind it. at that time, I was not manufacturing it yet, you had to go to a vitamin shop and buy all the ingredients separately, a cost of $350 monthly for one dose daily. a person taking 4 doses daily was spending $1,400 monthly.

She did feel better, not 100% , but improvement. I do not remember how much she took daily. On Oct 10, almost a month later, tests showed 1/3 reduction, she was so happy. then, her doctors told her to stop taking her "brother's garbage" and that she needs real medicine to get rid of it.

I told her that it did not make sense to take toxic chemicals to expect natural resolution. Her answer was that my training was for transplants and that this doctor is trained in cancer. She then said that they told her that the chemo will kill only the cancer cells and not damage the good cells, then said that is the right way to do it, adding that they basically guaranteed her that she would be "GOOD AS NEW" from the treatments.

She stopped my formula and started the chemo on October 15, 1997. 5FU, and Lucovorin, and then radiation. she became a "CASH COW" to the hospital and doctors.

Upon treatments, Diana rapidly declined, increased pain, her bones were deteriorating, the put metal rods in her legs as a result. It was devastating.

2 months later, Dec 15, 1997, Diana passed away. it was all un-necessary to put her through that torture and cause her death in that way.

when that happened, I was still not able to walk, but I was able to get up and tell Lora, "We have to help as many people as possible to prevent or at least reduce the number of repeats like what Diana went through." I was so upset, more so because what we were doing showed results and the doctors clearly did not want to hear it, and they lied and scared her into the treatments.

Diana's funeral was December 18, 1997, during that day, my mom's friend Grace came to her, said that her husband Patrick was diagnosed that morning with Colon cancer the size of a football, there was nothing that they could do for him except manage it with radiation to add time. I spoke to Patrick and said, "You are going to Diana's doctor and you see the results. Diana and I had the same cancer, you can go his way or my way."

Pat chose my method, went to the store to purchase the ingredients, Easter 1998 showed the football sized tumor reduced to the size of a walnut. Memorial Day, no evidence of any cancer.

From those results, we knew we nailed it, people started trying it and the results caused a "Word of mouth" spread due to the positive results.

I wish I had more results prior to Diana's diagnosis to show her how it would have helped her. We dedicated the Foundation in Diana's honor in effort to help as many people we can. As most "Not-For-Profits" survive on donations and fees, we never charged any consultation fee, and we get very little donations, about $4 - 5,000 annually from people we helped. we had 2 fundraising events Oct 1, 2011 and Oct 20, 2013, raised about $5,000 each time. other than that, I personally pay all operational expenses. we donate the money to the foundation so it can pay the bills.

last year records showed that the foundation had $117,000 in donations, $5,000 was from we helped, $7,000 was from the 10/20/13 luncheon fundraiser, and $100,000 was directly from me with my singly owned corporations donating the funds

I am telling you this so that you understand the efforts we are making to help people, and at my personal expense. it is obvious that I have never taken any salary, being that I personally fund it.

the theme behind it that I saw how my sister unfairly suffered, she was a very good person. I wanted her to be proud of my respect and honor towards her, Her sweet daughter Beth lost her mom. Diana would be so proud of Beth, as Beth is a wonderful person, has a wonderful marriage, and son, a person all mothers wished they had as a daughter.

my efforts are for Beth as well, she needed to know that someone cares about her mom and efforts are being made in her mom's honor.

my parents were also Hurt by this, Losing a daughter in this way is heartbreaking, my mom sees how I work 24/7 in Diana's honor to help as many people as possible. We have helped over 12,000 people so far.

Even with the pain I am dealing with from my injuries, I do the best I can to help as many people as possible, hoping to get more help as we grow.

Happy Birthday Diana on your 62nd birthday. You are always in our hearts
And you are proud of your wonderful daughter Beth and what she has done with her life.
