That's not really encouraging. We'll see what Qualcomm can do with it. It seems as the performance/watt of A57 is not better than that from A15, which wasn't particularly good at it either. ARM isn't shining at it anymore it seems.

One definitely cannot compare two Apple A7 cores with two A57 - it's more like four A57 for two A7.

It'll be interesting how Apple is going to fight the power wall with A8 which they hit with A7 already.

It's also quite astonishing how great Intel's high end cores actually are. Haswell is a performance beast and in Core M, it's in the same power ballpark as those high end ARM ones. We'll see about benchmark results.

I really hope that Broxton will actually prove Haswell performance as Intel promised. If that really is the case, those A57 based designs will be much worse performance wise. Hope Intel delivers this time.
