Why do you think you can compare Apple A7 with ARM A57

Because we compare performance all the time. The clock of the A7 being much lower is an internal detail. Running the A57 at the same speed as an A15 should be good enough for that sort of performance.

ARM recently brought out the A17 which fits into the Krait type slot in speed and efficiency, It is 32 bit but I would expect them to be currently working on a 64 bit variant so even if Qualcomm don't come up with their own design I'd guess that could probably be used instead in 2016. But anything can happen in a year and by 2016 they should be using FinFET I'd have thought and might not be so worried by the CPU power.
