This appears to be an Investigator-initiated efficacy study in subjects who underwent single or multi-port choles. I do not see any information on a sponsor. The primary outcome measured was taken from a pain assessment (Visual Analog Scale), as reported by subjects, from Baseline (surgery) to Day1 (Post-op). It was a blinded study so the subjects were randomly placed into one of two treatment ams... The single-port arm consisted of a multi-sleeve 15-mm trocar inserted at the umbilicus via a 15-mm single incision and a multi-port (four trocar) arm was the control group.

The purpose of the study is to apply patient-reported outcomes to the comparative effectiveness research in minimally invasive procedures for benign disease rather than traditional physician-reported outcomes such as complication rates, blood loss, and hospital stay.

The results may help support the advancement of minimally invasive procedures to robotics but it really doesn't have a direct correlation to Titan or SPORT.
