Okay, I agree with you. The process you describe makes sense.

Now that leads me back to the topic that started this whole #@?# storm.

The regional drought is depleting the groundwater throughout the entire Western half of the Country at an alarming rate. It's BRAND NEW INFORMATION, Pickett & the city of San Luis are probably just becoming aware of it.
