Anyway... my other point is that like it or not, Iraq has limped(?) along since the first Gulf War at the current rate, lower in fact. There's nothing to prevent them from continuing down this path.
And yes, there has been tremendous progress. But that progress has hit a speed bump.
I'm also just not convinced the US PTB want this as badly as some claim. Others have actually claimed the opposite and that it's the US holding things up.
Not looking for a political debate on this. Just restating old theories. NOBODY among us peeps really knows for certain sure.
