Yes and you know what all closers are not great at coming in non save situations. Good Luck finding one that is. I happen to love a closer that saves 92% of my games. and whether a ball was hit hard, we don't make excuses for the pitcher, if they lose a game, because they give up a q shot off the bat at 3b (stays in the infield), a SB, and a bloop over the 2b head, and they blow the save. Do we say he was unlucky or do we say he blown the save. Luck evens out over time I do admit in some games a pitcher may get hit hard and get lucky, but it can and does over a course of a season work in reverse as well. So to me luck has nothing to do with it over a course of a season. And his numbers are what his numbers are 92% of saves completed, if it is a closer all I care about is save %.

If that thing is under 80 he need to lose his job.
If it is under 85, he needs to be watched.
if it is under 90, but over 85, he is a solid closer.
if he is over 90, he is and elite closer or at least putting up and elite year in my opinion.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
