The problem I see is that the cabana lemonades have very similar tasting products that are cheaper. I remember SOBE used to have glass bottles but changed to plastic bottles and reduced their price. It also adds to the distribution cost. The way I see it, the Cabana lemonades need to be put in plastic bottles. I know they're trying to go for a more health conscious look but their main competitors all have it bottled with plastic. They can reduce their expenses and increase revenue at the same time. I dont think having it in plastic vs glass will hurt sales.
Also, they need to have a better label. Honestly when I first saw the bottle it looked like some generic drink. It is not a very recognizable label. For example, with SOBE, you see the gecko, you know its SOBE. With Herberts lemonade, you see that smiley face, you know its herberts. You dont really develop recognition with a label of some fruits. Also, you need a recognizable name on the label. The first thing you see is CABANA. Thats a really common word. You need to put the name PULSE on it so people can establish the relationship between the product and the name. You can put PULSE instead of the word natural on top of cabana. Its a little redundant on the label.
I tried the mango lemonade and think its one of the best tasting drinks in its category. But in the retail world its not all about taste. You need to develop brand awareness and competitive pricing with other brands.
Also, it wouldnt hurt to have something like a store finder on their site. I bought it for $2 bucks at a gas station. I went to other gas stations and my local ralphs and couldnt find it. Since this is not an established brand like gatorade or pepsi, it would help to know where you can find one.
