Has YRCW been "in cycle" at all in the 3rdQ 2014?
For the past two years, YRCW has spent anywhere from $12 to nearly $30 million every quarter on purchased transportation, over a million dollars a week. James Welch has explained on the conference calls that the excessive cost on purchased transportation has been because the YRCW system has been "out of cycle".
Here are questions for YRCW:
1 Has YRCW been "in cycle" at all in the 3rd Q of 2014? We are 6+ weeks into the Q.
2 In the past six weeks, has there been a single week when YRCW has spent less than $500,000 on purchased transportation? They have to have that data, although they may not reveal it.
3 Since July 1, has there been a SINGLE DAY when less than $50.000 was spent on purchased transportation?
What's happening is that the normal situation, judging from how much is spent on purchased transportation, is for YRCW to be "out of cycle".
