I never had preferred, but do recall, years back getting 'rights' with shares with an exp date....and they traded as well. That was with listed stocks on major exchanges.....except for a subber oil stock I had in the Philippines that wrote me with offers to buy rights or options at a cheap price per mil...I went for it twice. They went bye-bye years ago I think...even after I read in the Oil and Gas Journal that Standard Oil was joint venturing with them on their oil lease land in the Luzons? Still have the certs...may I will die rich and never know it. lol
