Today is a great example of how the game is played and how retail gets the shaft.

Retail puts in a buy at $.0009, MM dumps to him, then buys back at $.0008 a few minutes later, probably from a death spiral convert holder who pays $.0004 or so.

MM makes $300, convert holder makes $1,200, retail buyer is stuck with $2,700 worth of stock he'll be lucky to be able to sell at all.
