Odyssey does seem to have turned a page and things are starting to appear as though what all long shareholders here have wanted might come to fruition(I.E. SHARE PRICE appreciation)
I have latched onto a position ,even though a post I made a few weeks ago stated that there was too much "HOPE" involved in owning this stock;HOPE is not a good thing when it comes to investing.However,with every purchase,every trade,no matter how much you know about a company or expect to happen,(based on past events,current information available and your own acumen,knowledge or experience in the markets),sometimes things do not go exactly as expected.My point is every stock does have a percentage of hope in it for a trader or investor the less percent of hope the more accurate your predictions can be.
Odyssey has always had a huge % of hope...but I have noticed and this last conf. call re-enforced it the % of hope is dropping and the % of knowing is growing.This is important and hopefully the Meson Mob gets it because if they don't they stand to lose a lot of money on their charitable short position.
The next paragraph is part of a post I made on a different board a few weeks ago and it has taking me a little time to come full circle to understand that without a doubt for me Odyssey is not going to file Bankruptcy....EVER.Secondly that their balance sheet is starting to get more liquidity in it and they will eventually profit.
"For instance,,,,,,,,OMEX is below all those moving averages...even the 200,,,, but..in their case..there IS something fundamentally wrong with the company.......THEY DON'T make a profit.........and when they do make money it is temporary ..not consistant....OMEX is a gamblers stock and I need to stay away from it.
I really really LOVE what they do though...and the SOB keeps drawing me back in,,,,,,and subsequently handing me my ask....time after time......Love the company...hate the stock!!!"

I believe I have had an epiphany over the last few weeks and if you seriously start looking at all the numbers,the facts as Gordon puts it.....you will probably see as I did changes are afoot to set this company on course for profit.
In no uncertain terms if Odyssey FAILS AGAIN to work the ship through the winter.....with everyone taking a 6 month vacation and sitting on their derriers all winter doing nothing but speculating on the next season,then I would sell my shares and never purchase this companies stock again.The shareholders have complained about this issue every year as far back as I can recall and I first saw this stock in 2007.I would call for the resignation of the entire executive team if this occurs one more time.There is no reason they can't be working on a warm water project 6 months of the year and keep the company working throughout the year.IF they need to go into the yards for painting or other work ,unless it is a short visit then they simply would have to lease another vessel in the interim.NO EXCUSES in my opinion are acceptable for this atrocious behavior every winter.
I would hope everyone who is a long shareholder feels the same way about them not working the ship through the winter months.To me it is absolutely unacceptable.
