a nephew on a 'shot crew on the Payette in Idaho. I think he is not packing enough gear for the initial attack. he needs a few extra lunches or boxes of radio batteries to keep him in balance. one of our tricks was to slip a few rocks into the newbie's packs. i think anyone seeing christopher would forego that, as one would not want to anger him. the boy is an ox. and he gleefully goes for it, as did we all, he is letting his wildlife biology degree simmer while he gets some real life under his belt.
