I am surprised that they haven't retaliated a little better. But one of the reasons why they haven't done very well is that ISIS ended up getting a lot of weapons from us and they've captured weapons, they've got them out of Syria, I'm sure there are some that came from Libya so they're well-armed, so we haven't done the Kurds any favour whatsoever.

Former Republican Party US congressman, Ron Paul, spoke exclusively to Ruptly from Clute, Texas on Wednesday about the impact of America's latest venture in Iraq.

Paul said that he was surprised that Kurdish fighters had not fared better when faced against IS (formerly known as ISIS) due to their "great" reputation in combat. However, the former Republican presidential candidate added that the USA is culpable for this imbalance because IS fighters are using US-acquired weaponry.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was on "Hannity" tonight, where he called
U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East a "disaster" and said
our nation is funding people who are allied with ISIS.

"ISIS is stronger because we've been funding Islamic rebels in
Syria. There's also people coming from Libya as well.
Libya is basically a jihadist wonderland.
Syria's becoming a jihadist wonderland. And really, our
involvement there has been to help the Islamic rebels," he said.

The unthinkable is happening in the Middle East.

The Islamic State, also known as ISIS, has rolled through Iraq, and they are brutal beyond imagining.

They've given Iraqi Christians an ultimatum: "Convert, leave, or die."

They’ve marked Christian homes and businesses like the Nazis marked Jewish homes.

Christians are fleeing for their lives by the tens of thousands.

They’ve sought refuge in Kurdistan; but so far the Obama Administration has refused to arm the Kurds, and humanitarian aid is very slow to arrive.

There’s no excuse for delay. After the Holocaust, the world promised “never again.” Never again would it stand aside and watch genocide occur.

Tell the Obama Administration to take action. Arm our allies, the Kurds. Flood humanitarian aid to besieged Christians. We cannot allow genocide in Iraq.

Stop the Genocide of Christians in Iraq

President Obama,

We have allies on the ground ready to protect Christians.
Arm the Kurds. There are tens of thousands of desperate refugees.
Flood them with humanitarian aid. America must declare to the
world that it will not permit genocide of Iraqi Christians and
other religious minorities.
