I think the author of this QEDN research report is a literary genius.

I'll grant that the author is slick.

In addition to announcing they were current in their filings, the company went into further detail regarding their Emerald acquisition. They explained that they already had a crop of marijuana in development…

I really appreciate how a sentence saying "the company went into further detail regarding their Emerald acquisition" segues into a distraction: "They explained that they already had a crop of marijuana[!!!!]" The exclamation points are mine. In other words, don't watch this hand; watch THIS hand!" Slick.

The reality appears to be that QEDN claims EmeraldMedFarms as a "wholly owned subsidiary":

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwired - Jun 10, 2014) - Management of QED Connect, Inc. (OTC Pink: QEDN) (PINKSHEETS: QEDN) today is providing further information of the California's Medical Marijuana industry in regards to its wholly owned subsidiary, Emerald Med Farm, LLC.

In the same PR, they also state that

In April 2014, the Company entered into an agreement to acquire Emerald Med Farms, LLC; a California based medical marijuana company.

So, have they acquired Emerald Med Farms or not? Well, maybe, yes, but not quite yet.

The Q1, btw, says this:

So, QEDN, which had $2,260 in cash is going to provide $2,000,000 as part of the acquisition. Sure it is....

One last comment regarding the PR author's 'literary genius,' there should be a comma after "filings" in the sentence I quoted above. I've added it in red.
