IMO the best hope for news and welcome change will come in the form of a reverse merger. I do not see the current status quo of (complete company silence) changing until this ticker is under the control of completely different ownership/principals.

What incentive or motivation does current management have to 'break the silence' and communicate with its shareholders?--apparently none until proven otherwise.
