Seems that they have to have the tax ID and a business license to do business in California. They will also need a federal ID, too, so that payroll, social security, etc. are paid by the company for every employee they hire.
Without a business license in California, they cannot legally enter into any contracts, cannot defend themselves in court if sued, and can't sue another entity.
So far AEGY reports 0 employees, but I'm not sure that will fly with the feds and the state.
If someone can confirm they are indeed doing business in Cali, I can make sure that regulators contact the company to make sure they are licensed to do business and have both Federal and State employer ID numbers for Pharmajanes.
