Sometimes people need to keep that testosterone in check.

And sometimes people need to grow a set. Be honest with yourself, this didn't start when a company released press about an auction, this started when UNESCO offered a BRIBE to revamp some Dominican museums in exchange for pulling all salvage contracts. I originally got this info right here on iHub and verified it independently.

Lets see what the outcome of all this is, I know where my money is. A lot of it was spent by companies searching for and finding the artifacts sitting in the government office down there. All of this money was spent under legally binding contracts, so the artifacts LEGALLY belong to the companies who found them. As an investor in those companies I feel screwed, just as all of you should. It should be a class-action lawsuit with all investors from all companies working down there.

It boils down to "here is permission to go salvage shipwrecks and keep 50% of what you find". Followed up by "thanks for your hard work, but we are cancelling your contract and keeping your 50%". Even corrupt government officials have to abide by the rules of an agreement with their own signature on it. This is the very reason we have courts and laws and yes, lawsuits.
