why does bacon wrapped shrimp figure prominently in stock message board party planning?

Like so many things in Pennyland, it goes back to CMKX. As I've explained, CMKX and USCA hosted the only real Party in Vegas that's ever come to fruition for shareholders.

But the SEC suspension of USCA the day before it began cast a pall. There were some unpleasant incidents, and the mood was generally tense.

Many of the shareholders were naive and unsophisticated, and found the whole thing rather unsettling. Everyone could, however, agree on one thing: the bacon-wrapped shrimp were simply AMAZING!! They were talked about for days.

And so in homage, bacon-wrapped shrimp must be part of any Party in Vegas.
