Exactly. BOD's are so often out of sync with the interests of shareholders in this regard. One reason executive compensation has on average become so ridiculous when compared to average compensation for workers. CPST's BOD seems content to continue rewarding performance below 100% of targets. Who sets the targets...you guessed it. Seeing this way too often and there's not enough IMO shareholder lawsuits/prosecutions to compel boards to exercise their due fiduciary responsibility. I suppose that responsibility is out the window as with so many other things. Lots of variables for sure beyond management's control, but isn't that what its all about? I know for myself that going for the gold involves risk, and I can safely say that if that effort came up short, I certainly wasn't rewarded for it. My rant for the day...LOL.
