As of December 31, 2013, the company had approximately 70,000 net acres in East Texas/North Louisiana region for the Haynesville and Bossier shale formations; 47,800 net acres in South Texas region for the Eagle Ford shale formation; and 145,000 net acres in Appalachia region prospective for the Marcellus shale formation. It had proved reserves of approximately 1.1 trillion cubic feet equivalent; and operated approximately 7,863 wells. EXCO Resources, Inc. was founded in 1955 and is based in Dallas, Texas.
