they should have held onto the Permian Basin assets imo but I agree with selling to offshore part - it is absolutely on fire here in West Texas and now we have the Cline zone to go after -from what local players are telling me the Cline wells are coming in very strong but dropping considerably after 8-9 months -now they are still huge producers at this time but one has to weigh in the well cost of 8-9mm they are still trying to crack the nut on the best way to produce the zone. I have no doubt they will figure it out - some test wells lately have been producing from the Cline along with another zone above it - like I said the Cline is still in serious exploration and testing then comes the exploitation of the zone and oil for everyone
opinions differ but I know we will get the Cline oil - SD was right on top of it along with the very very productive Wolfcamp zone in the Permian Basin -they should have kept it imo
