Could someone clue me in on what info the shorts use to determine if they are going short on a stock before the bell? What indicators do they use to decide? I see the short % can vary wildly, day to day. Just trying to understand their thinking & try to improve my trading skills. I'd like to see if it is practical or relevant to use in conjunction with other indicators in my trading decisions.
